ENG Art is a channel through which life can be experienced amid the daily whirlwind. A dialogue between two timelines, two ways of inhabiting the world. One governed by the mind — ruminative, detached, often obsessed with the forms of success and the passing of time. The other more subtle, sensorial, and synced with the present — the only instant possible.

Rumination, it is said, is a steady and enduring mental process.
I reflect on the body’s fragility when confronted with thought’s relentless persistence.

What place does Reason occupy in our conception of Reality?
Is there an objective world? Are we aware of how the way we see the world turns out to be a more or less logical construction?
A sentence that invites us to ask a question to ourselves.
An intention to ask more about the order of things.
A prayer that pretends to be a whisper of doubt, once again, about Reason. -

The track plays with a quotation from Michel Foucault, layering the voice until it becomes mere noise. Repetition and appropriation become tools for disarming the subject, strategies of anonymity. The destruction of originality as a trace of identity. /

2017Translated text:
They say that rumination is a stable, sustained thinking process; the continuous processing of everyday worries in an excessive way that interferes with our daily routines.I think about time and, above all, I am consumed by the idea of making the most of it. I consider what I mean when I say “the most,” and I realize I don’t know. I draw several conclusions, simultaneously and contradicting, all of them. It doesn’t matter— they all coexist. As Burroughs says, experience and perception can hold multiple degrees of simultaneity.I return to thinking about Time and realize that, although I don’t know how, the calculation of its use always comes out negative for me. Is it this century? Is it the overwhelming whirlwind that defines this century?Time is immaterial; we neither possess it nor can we control it. We try to measure it as a homogeneous continuum while perceiving it as irregular: time either flies or refuses to pass at all. We never understand it. Will never do. Here lie all our failures in the dialectic we attempt with Time.I believe rhetoric is the mind’s most powerful resource. Hence the excess, hence rumination.I also believe success is a notion crudely disguised as luxury and superficial shine. And I believe we are easily dazzled.
I suppose many things, most of them useless to the pragmatism of our era. And I dare to assert that art becomes a way of noticing—a gesture, if not a prophecy of salvation—against these fragile notions of judgment, despotic and imprisoning to the free spirits housed within each of our finite existences.Art is always the question worth asking; the secret we will never cease to reveal.

ENG As an artist, I have had the opportunity and the honor of writing for several fellow artists—both through the curatorship of their exhibitions and through a kind of shared exercise in the development of their artistic statements.
Writing is a practice that runs through my entire creative production, something like an active meditation that helps me clarify processes and distill ideas.
In this ongoing development, Lost in Transmission was—back in 2019—a curatorial exercise in which I allowed myself to play with the boundaries between the artwork and the exhibition text, and from which an essay also emerged, reflecting on the working process and the ideas involved.
